Question:

Depression Help Please?

by  |  earlier

About two months ago I stopped self-harming, and although I had quite bad anxiety, that has died down now. I decided I would change my ways and make a fresh start, although now, I have periods of very hyper happiness, although now I get very angry and every now and then I have overwhelming senses of emptiness, and occasionally I feel an urge to hurt myself again.

Is this just going back to the old me or a new, even worse me?

Thanks x

  2. There is no problem with you wanting help. I've been seeing a psychiatrist for 2 years now and they are there to help you. You can overcome anything. Just don't go back to what you were doing before. That doesn't get you anywhere. Things may be bad right now in your life but don't worry you will get through it. I promise.

    Good luck

  3. i cannot answer that if you feel so terrible please see a psychiatrist there is no shame

  4. I am certainly no psychiatrist but having been treated by one for the past 3 years it sounds like you are among the many who are under the impression and mistaken thought that you are depressed when you are actually manic depressive or what is commonly known as bi-polar. Get help, soon. It is not treatable but manageable.

  5. Your moods and your perspective on life and how you react to it emotionally will forever change. Don't be alarmed but most importantly, don't let it manipulate you. You're strong enough to overcome any illness as long as you believe it.

  6. hey, your not alone :] i feel the same way :[

it may be getting worse, because you may be thinking you’re "crazy" or "weak" or that you should "just get over it." These are some of the common misconceptions people believe which often prevent them from getting the depression help they need.

    Please try geting help :]

    Best of luck to you.
