Detroit 4 Game Sweep Anyone???

What cha think?...game 1 was quite impressive, the pens are a very good team, but young. Detroit is seasoned, and after watching a short handed goal and a powerplay goal in the 3rd i was impressed!

It would be nice, but I honestly don't think it's going to happen.   The Wings are only up one game at this point and anything can happen.   The Pens got a taste of what Detroit has to offer and it's almost a guarantee that they're going to step up their game on Monday night.  If Detroit wants to keep their momentum going, they have to do the same and stay out of the penalty box.

The Penguins haven't lost on home ice since February. It WILL NOT be a sweep.

If they can split in Detroit, they'll be in great shape.

It was one game...one game does not dictate a whole series although I still think Detroit will win, not a sweep but in 6 games.

I think Detroit is going to win in 6.  Obviously, the Wings played very well on Saturday, but the Penguins were awful.  Obviously, if that was the Pens' best, then yes Detroit will sweep.  But the Pens are highly capable of playing better and are definitely going to pick it up.  They only had 4 shots in the second period, and a mere 3 in the third, and the only reason why they were able to get 12 shots in the first was because they had four powerplays.

Crosby and Malkin need to play harder.  Fleury did his job.  He had 36 shots fired on him (VERY nice shots, many of them unsaveable), and a short handed opportunity at him, where the Wings scored.  The Penguins defense has to work more on being defensive and to shut down Zetterberg and Datsyuk, and keep an eye on Samuelsson.  If they don't, the usually unnoticed players, like Samuelsson, will slip under the radar and make amazing plays like he did yesterday.

When the Penguins pick it up, they'll be able to win a couple.

there's no way the red wings will sweep, the penguins are just to good of a team. the penguins havent lost at home since february 24th when they played my other favorite team the san jose sharks. hopefully the can win game 2 & go back to pittsburgh with a 1-1 tie.

It could happen. Comparisons of the Pens are being drawn to the 82-83 Oilers and Gretzky's first Cup finals. A much more experienced Islanders team swept Edmonton, holding Gretzky to just 4 assists. Of course, we know what happened the following season.

Detroit played a good game and I will not be suprised if we dominate the series.
