Dialing while in Rome, Italy?

I will be in Rome Italy and have a U.S. cell phone with global capabilities. How do I dial another U.S. cell phone with global capabilities who is also in Rome, Italy.

hold the zero until you see a "+" sign then proceed and dial as if its a long distance number (ex. 1-248-334-9022)  and you are all set!

press +1 areacode then phone number

to get the + press * twice

The best thing to do is to make sure that the person's number who would would like to call while in Italy is in your phone  like this ...+1 555 543 4321 then all you have to do is choose his or her number  and all will be fine.

I would check with yor cell phone company before you leave for Italy how much they charge for making calls in Europe with your phone. Calls can be costly.

If you have a triband phone you can go to Tim  Cell phone company in Italy and get a pre-paid sim card. Be sure that your phone is unlocked.  U.S. phones are locked.  Contact your company and ask them for the unlock code

Using an Italian Sim Card can be beneficial.
