Did I make a mistake?

I got a ps3 2 months ago but I was told that a high-end pc with a 8800gtx gpu is much better for gaming did I make a mistake getting the ps3?also I think the ps3 is better cause it was originally designed for gaming and have better games than a pc,now tell me did I make a mistake getting the ps3?

I guess it really depends what you like the ps3 is an awsome system it practically is a very powerful computer it will have more games than the pc better graphics than most pc games you dont have to worrry about constantly upgrading your graphic and sound cards like with a Pc. but Pc is more fun for online gaming and over all multi tasking. but honestly i have both a gaming loptop and a Ps3 my laptop collects dust along with my xbox360.

When you're playinfg a shooter it's much more satisfying knowing you killed the guy by using a stick which requires an elemnt of skill, compared to clicking on him.

It was the right decision: much less probable to get a VIRUS on a PS3 than on a PC... it's even more secure than a Mac, and THAT tells something... you needn't care about your graphic card, or about you processor, you simply buy a game and enjoy it. On a PC, you'd have to verify the - right operating system

- memory

-RAM

-processor

-graphics card

-resolution

-etc.

it wouldn't be worth it... and by the way: a PC isn't designed for gaming, rather for work - a PS3 is! A PC doesn't have a BluRay drive (at least usually...) - a PS3 does!

It's possible that there has already been some other processor that is more powerful than the Cell Processor because each year there's always newer and more up-to-date technology

But the Cell Processor is far from weak because the PS3 is still a VERY advanced console because of the Cell Broadband Engine

Nope, keep your PS3, it tons of great games, I recommend MGS4 and Uncharted Drake's Fortune.

Pray that R.O.B. or Communist doesn't answer this...

No the PS3 is freaking awesome!! The only game i ever play on it is Guitar Hero haha, but my bro and his best friend play some metal gear solid game and they love it. Even though there 26 haha.

But we finished our basement this summer and have a 72" flat screen plasma hanging on the wall in the theater room.

My dad decided to get the PS3 cause its got the HDMI cable thing and the Blue Ray disk player on it and all the regular stuff.

Plus internet.
