i think he rode on Shaq's back during the Finals because he can't win one as a team leader. Kobe was Shaq's sidekick and all he did was choke during the Finals. if it wasn't for Shaq, Kobe would be another Michael Redd: a decent player who no one pays attention to.

this is one of the biggest problems of the NBA and this forum... all everybody cares about is the big superstars and they ll hate on either kobe or lebron because your all ignorant and naive... go ot another sport forum and they ask about teams winning games and not kobe losing it again or wil lebron finally win??

Fake his success? okay. SHAQ did not lead the Lakers single handedly.  Kobe has help and lead the lakers go into the NBA FINALS 5 times.  Every players need help you idiot.

So you tell me, MJ would be something if pippen hadnt came?  MJ wouldnt be a winner with out Pippen and its been proven.

Kobe helped shaq and shaq helped kobe go into 4 finals.. And then Kobe lead a scrambled lakers go to the finals in one of the toughest conference in nba history.  And the year before this, Kobe showed he can single handedly take his team to the playoffs putting up 60+,50+, 40+ points at will and Never miss the playoffs when he was there.  the only time he missed playoffs is right when shaq left, but Kobe was injured almost that whole season.  But when he was back, he said the lakers to the playoffs single handedly.

You cannot deny Kobe's Success.  His success is one of the best in the NBA right now

How can Kobe fake success? How can Kobe fake being an MVP, or Scoring 81 points, or better yet 56 in 3qtrs? How do you explain Kobe taking the Celtics to a game 6 and should have won the series had Bynum not been injured. Kobe is the best player in the game.

How can the league MVP fake his success? The trophy was real, wasnt it? It didnt look fake to me. Ok then, he was real, no joke. And dont nobody need Shaq. Kobe just gotta get back on his feet from the loss of Shaq. Kobe's skills will remain all day. No one has his talent, he cant be touched. I dont think his success was a fake, real talk. I just dont think he and his team handled the finals very well. He will be ready next season, I really believe that.

I think youre wrong. If Michael Redd was on the Lakers, he would take the role of Glen Rice in their 2000 championship season where Shaq was dominant and Kobe was brilliant.

Back in 2004, he would fly from a Colorado hearing and score 45 points on that nights game.

Michael Redd wont score 81 in his lifetime.

Its a team effort dude.  No one can win a championship by himself.  Kobe helped Shaq and Shaq helped Kobe.  They won three championships.  Why dont you get off their backs now.  God!

It sounds like you're pretty stagnant on your beliefs, so I won't flame you and/or judge you like most others will on this question--

However if I may, I believe otherwise; if this was the case then why else was Kobe not only on the USA team roster, but played a major role in attaining a US Gold Medal and relinquishing the burden of the US being remembered as the bronze medalists? As for Michael Redd, I think your perception on him is based off of your opinion; if no one pays attention to him then he would also not be a gold medalist, nor would he be known as one of the purist-shooters to ever grace the league.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions so I understand if you disagree with me and that is more than fine - I only hope to try to answer your question in the best way I can, coming from a mutual standpoint.
