Did Tiger Woods die or is he just done for the season? I could have sworn he was just having knee surgery but ESPN has pulled the Cubs v Rays game so they could have his wake errrrr cover 1 golfer having surgery.

Is Tiger Woods bigger than the game of baseball & if the Red Sox were on 2nite would they have been jerked to cover a surgery?

Yeah, I think it's crazy too.  It reminds me of when Brett Favre retired.  You'd think he died too (which he mentioned himself).

If you really want to see crazy coverage about it, flip to the Golf Channel.  As of 4:50 or so Central time, they'd just replayed a segment over and over about Tiger's injury.

He's just in for surgery. He was injured when he played the open, but it only made things worse because he chose to play anyways. To answer your question... he is fine. He just needs surgery.

Tiger Woods didnt die he just hurt his leg or knee really bad but still won the U.S. open.

Tiger Woods is so important it just seems like he died. Him missing a season is like him dieing. He'll come back to life next season though. And if it makes you feel better they would have interrupted the Red Sox too!

Yea, right now Tiger Woods is bigger than baseball.  So much was made about his U.S. Open win on a bad knee that it had even the most average people watching sports for a few days.

This is pretty huge news, since this is the first time that Tiger Woods will miss a major tournament in his entire career.

ESPN isn't biased enough to not cut the Red Sox game.  It was breaking news at the time, and more people care about Tiger Woods than they do about the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
