Did anyone have a similar experience?

Since couple of months ago my sister-in-law keeps on asking me every time she seees me is I am pregnant.

It's kind of like that "Hi, how are you? Are you pregnant?!" and she looks directly into my eyes. I don't know why, but it sort of weirds me out.

I keep answering no, but she won't stop asking.

Is it a normal behavior?

She is not married and has no kids, and aparently is in some sort of competition with her brother(my husband) - who marries first, who has kids first. How do I explain to her that there is no need to compete and it doesn't matter who has kids first. Also I am getting tired of her intrusive questions about pregnancy.

  1. Thats like really creepy she needs to get a life fast!!

  2. u need to tell her to stop asking u those questions if it bothers you... tell her off and that its not a competition who has kids first! if shes an adult she has some serious child emotions that really need to be handled.

  3. Tell her exactly how u wrote it here :"... that there is no need to compete and it doesn't matter who has kids first. Also I am getting tired of her intrusive questions about pregnancy."

  4. JEALOUSSSS

  5. Put some poopy in her coffee.  That'll teach her!

  6. Eeeuuwww. That is creepy.

Tell her to stop, it's silly to be so competitive, and you find it very intrusive and it's making you very uncomfortable.

If she doesn't stop, tell your husband you don't her to see you anymore.

  7. Tell her no and to stop asking. If/and when you are you will let her know when you are ready. I had a friend in highschool who competed with friends and family to do everything and be the best ( have a family, buy everything, have the best, etc ) I fell into that game and was not worth it.. Its something you cannot control, the other person has to just let it go.

  8. Jealousy!

  9. tell her that you will have children when you are ready, and that you will let her know when you are. explain that you feel a little uncomfortable on the subject and that you will let her know when it happens.

if you dont like the idea of speaking to her, maybe you could get your huband to have a talk with her, saying the same sort of things, and  maybe he could say that there isnt really a competition anymore - otherwise she may get carried away when she meets a man , take things too quickly, and end up unhappy!

    good luck! x*x

  10. Just tell her like you just told us. You said it in a nice way here so hopefully she will understand. Just tell her having kids is not a race it is a HUGE responsibilty and being a parent is a hard job.

  11. i'd love for her to ask me. i'd tell her no and i dont know if we will even have one any time soon due to the fact that we have a life to live :) (just to p**s her off hehe)

WHAT???!!!!....  you're young, u can travel and stuff first before u gotto worry about who's gonna keep the baby so u can both can go out. Let her have those issues by herself for now!!! lol.

  12. She must want you to have a baby or maybe it is like a competition. Maybe she is and wants to come clean. Tell her when and if you become pregnant you will let her know
