How offended are the Chinese? Were they serious? They are taking this to a whole new low. First France, now this?! What's going on?

  1. Whoa!  What did France do?  Somebody tell me!

Ohhh...thanks for the info on the French...I'd heard about that but thought that maybe they were talking even MORE smack...but surely they'd be smart enough not to do THAT again!  LOL

  2. I'm not chinese either but its not right to be doing that

  3. although they say imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery,I think they (the Spanish) may have pushed it a bit far, but hey at least they weren't wearing straw hats, whilst eating white rice with chopsticks sporting Fu Manchu mustaches, now THAT would have been offensive.

  4. that is so disrespectful! ok so what happened to the french when they said "were going to smash the americans". and the lost! bye the best way i have ever seen! that was truly amazing! bake to the spain.. all i have to say is CARMA! what goes around comes around!

  5. Very poor taste! I read the article and agree with the writer that spain could have hurt its chances of being involved with any home games in the future and rightfully so!!!

  6. That is horrible. It looks like we should make "Give the best insult" an Olympic sport. That's just wrong & France's situation too.

  7. hey i actually find this pretty funny

    i like it

    and im asian

i didnt get offended at all

    why should anyone

    its a joke for fun

  8. wowww. it's pretty amazing how none of the players never considered the fact that this photo would be offending ALOT of people.... amazing...

  9. hold on!

I am very offended by so many things China is doing right now! Like the human rights, civil rights and animal rights violation that goes on every day.

Their financial support in the Darfur war which is one of the worst tragedies in the world right now.

Tibet issues and all what that entails.

Muder of the volleyball coach father in law.

Crackdown on minorites as if they are TARGET OF SECURITY MEASURES just by their ethnicity. (Ughyrans, Tibetans, Mongolians).

    Persecution of Christians.  http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar...

Web and media censorship and also the invasion to privacy in emails.

    China's involvment in Burma.

How twisted are their values, "just fake it".  The message behind making a girl sing but because of her looks she couldnt be on camera and they make a prettier girl lipsynch! make them apologize to the girl first.

and i can go on and on and on.

Plus when Americans got there with the pollution masks they took that as an insult too.  So be it.

I am not condoning what the Spanish team did but if we are going to get sensitive about issues let's look at what China is doing first.  They are the ones who should apologize to the world.

  10. I'm not Chinese but I don't blame them for being offended.  My parents told me to never "slant" my eyes because it is rude, and I don't know why it should become acceptable all of a sudden.

  11. Disgusting.

I'm surprised that anyone thought it was a good idea to mock a whole continent while competing on the continent for the Olympics.

  12. what retards. they shud be kicked out for doing that

  13. Out of all of those people posing like that, I'm surprised no one stepped up and said, "hey don't you think this may be considered a little offensive"...people don't think now a days.

  14. Man you people are overreacting, there not really stretching there eyes more like pointing. Only Pau Gasol seems to be doing it. Anyway its a good laugh nothing racial or anything.
