Did he break his probation?

if someone was charged with growing weed...

and while on probation got a job at a pond garden/hydroponic store

could that be grounds for breaking their probation?

please only answer if you have such lawful knowledge

  1. If he /she was smart all they would have to do is call their P.O. and ask them before taking the job. I do Juvenile P.O. and kids do stupid things but as an adult my tolerance was NONE. Got to be smarter than the average bear.

  3. It would depend on the terms and conditions of this persons probation.

    I doubt that a person caught for growing weed would be found in violation of his probation for working for a garden store.  Unless that is specifically prohibited in the terms and conditions of this persons probation.

    As a PO, I have never encountered such a restriction.  Now, what I have seen are employment restrictions that prevent someone convicted of identy theft from working in areas where they may come across personal identifying information, like the DMV, etc.  I have seen people convicted of theft, restricted from working with elderly people living in assisted living homes, or people convicted of s*x offenses from working at certain jobs where they would have contact with young people ... i.e. a school, daycare, or a fast food restaurant.

    So, if this guys term of probation had a restriction on working at garden stores, then yes ... if not, probably not.
