i got my oral surgery done on my gums and i don't know if they did what they should have done.

there was to much gum on one spot and they didn't remove some.

i asked the Doctor what they did and he said that it's swollen.

but that doesn't make sense because it doesn't look right.

what should i do?

  1. Oral surgery can be tricky. But the dentist that did it is an oral surgeon, meaning that's all he does all day log. If there was something wrong he would see it. Give it time. What was the surgery for anyway?

  2. You still need time to heal. The next time you go in for your post-op check- which should be anywhere from 1-2 weeks (depending on the dentist's discretion) you and your dentist should discuss what healthy gingiva looks like.

  3. you didnt say how long its been. Swelling will last for awhile. Then after a week if your not sure still, go to another dentist and get an opinion. You wont upload pictures here will you ?

  4. You need to wait until youre fully healed to judge the outcome of your surgery. Your still swollen so you need time.

  5. You cannot do anything until your swelling goes down.
