I always picture Ron Hextall going after him when he was a Hab.  The guy has had an amazing career.  I remember watching a documentary on his struggles early before being drafted to find somewhere to play to get noticed.  In one word  or 2 perseverance and dedication

My Fav. Chris Chelios Moment was on jimmy Kimmel i think it was when he was bashing on how much he hates detroit, and he'll never go there. HaHa, its just funny how things turn out

3. I knew that too, in 1988-1989. Habs hadn't lost a home game all year but that is the only Canadiens team to lose a Cup-deciding game on Forum ice. :(

Oh and here's my favourite Chelios moment : Should the Red Wings play against Tampa or Florida for the Cup before he retires, he can just cruise on down with the Cup in the back of his pink cadillac and show it off to his shuttleboard buddies. ;)

In the meantime : seeing him in the famous fight in 1984 against the Nordiques trying to keep Guy Lafleur out of the melee.

It's amazing how hard he works to keep in such good condition to play at his age.



My favorite moment is when he left the Blackhawks and came to the Red Wings.  How quickly he changed from being despised to being beloved by the fans.



Then again, at only 21 years old, I missed of a lot of great things in his early career.

I know Chelios has been playing hockey from before i was born, and I'm sure all the young penguins know to respect their honourable elders.

if chris chelios was a dinasour which one would he be? we've already determined hasek will be hasekadactyl.

I do remember him playing as a Blackhawk, along with savard because he was my favourite goalie, and chelly was my favourite american player at that time.

I don't know if it's my favourite Chelly moment, since it's tied to a bad loss for Team Canada, but I really enjoyed watching this tournament, and all the oldtimers and their old equipment never gets old. So I'll have to say that a Chelios moment that I remember most is the 1996 WCHA FINALS in Montreal!!! between Team USA and Team Canada, with our star studded Hockey Canada coaching/team, and the alright i guess i can say it now stronger defensive team with amazing goaltending american team (ugh) who won gold beating canada in game 3...brings up bad summer times, but Chelly got named to the All-Star tournament team (which was basically all americans and two swedes, and i'd never been so disappointed in my life), but i was really excited for the greek cause i felt he played great the whole tournament...minus some penalties, and he actually set up some good goal scoring plays.

yeah i know we suck. i can't believe this stupid tournament is entrenched in my memory. and you know what yeah  we were the weaker team...all flash, and also brett hull you ______ dualie. why'd you have to play for them, and then decimate our *** in games 2&3. i think i was in grade 1/2 at that time, so it's still one of my earliest hockey memories of chelios, and i guess i'll remember it the most...i can't believe i brought this up. ugh. ashamed. lol. i was weeping for months. it ruined my summer. and i was miserable all through winter. and then world juniors came along and restored my faith in candian hockey. lol. go '96! dream team. the birth of iggy, baums, jose, and i got to see kipper on team sweden! we owned that tournament via help from the stupid lockout.

Hot d**n, I almost missed a Lity question!  Wait a minute.  This isn’t a question at all.  I bet if Cyren were reading this, he would be holding a beer, inspecting his finger nails, huffing hot breath to steam them, then buffing them on his shirt, then looking back at his computer monitor while saying, “Hell yes, I knew that!”

Number 1 is interesting, but number 2 I could have looked up, and number 4 I knew.    

It is amazing to think Chelios played with the Flower.  It seem like it was a LONG time ago.

Edit:  I am just busting your chops for picking on my prior trivia and/or hockey knowledge.  My point is, dear, that your first fact was the most interesting…to me.
