Difference between adminisrtation and management?

Earlier textbooks used to draw a difference.  One, administration was more prevalent in US, and management in UK.  Second, administration was considered a subset of management.

In today's world, both are near-synonymous.  However, "office administration" refers to a specific function (department) of Management in an organisation.
