What are integrating factors? Is it always e^(...)? At what grade/age do you learn it? thx (:

  1. i actually learned this in college .. . .

    this is part of the Bernoulli differential Equation .....

    the integrating factor of

    dy/dx + P(x) y = Q(x) is

    e^∫ P(x) dx = v (let's just call it 'v')

    and when you multiply it on the expression

    the left side becomes the derivative of

    y * v

    thus

    y * v = ∫ Q(x)*v dx

    this is also what i used on your earlier question
