Digging game names??

I used to love this one game in the arcade at my dad's old work (Pharaoh's Lost Kingdom in Redlands, California). It was either Japanese or Chinese or something, I'm not sure. but anyways you had this character and a jackhammer or something and you would dig your way through levels of dirt and such until you got to the place you were digging to. Because everything was in a different language, I never knew what it was called. Then I found a similar game to it only you could only be one character and you would dig through layers that were like bubbles. I found this game on my cell phone. I can't remember the name of it though. If anyone would know the name of either of these games or know the name of a game that is like either of them or anything like that, it would be really helpful. Thank you. :]

Dig Dug. That is the only digging game I know of. You can check out the video on youtube to see if that is it. I don't think they talked in the game, but that is the only game I have played like that. I live in Los Angeles, and I am looking for a good arcade. Is this place you use to go to still around.
