Digital camera for motor sport ?

Hi

I'm new to photography, in a couple of weeks im going to a motor sport event I want to get a good camera that has a good quality image and dosn' t blur I have around £200 could i have some makes and model suggestions please.

  1. I aggree with Photoace. Absolutely right answer, no P&S camera will specifically do what you want. If you want to take sport photography, better you learn basicly : about shutter speed & diafragma. It's enjoy and very nice if you learn because you have interest & hobby for photography..

    That said, no P&S camera will specifically do what you want.  First they are fully automatic, so things like panning with the action using a slower shutter speed to imply action or choosing a high shutter speed to "freeze" the action cannot be controlled.  Second, the shutter lag inherent in all P&S cameras can be frustrating when shooting action.

  3. You would need a camera with a good zoom lens, image stabilizer for the kind of photography you are intending to do. You can get a good dslr-like camera for it, although you might have to spend a little more than 200 pounds. Here's a site for that camera -  Panasonic FZ18.
