I have a 3yr old camera and now all of a sudden it wont hold the rechargeable battery. I have tried regular batteries and also have bought 2 complete rechargeable battery kits and nothing works within 5 minutes of the camera being on it dies. Any suggestions I don't want to buy a new camera.

  1. sorry

    it needs repaired

it will cost $150 or more

    you decide

new camera or repair old one

  2. Make certain there isn't any crud around the battery contacts shorting the batteries out. If that doesn't work If it was a cheaper camera it may not be worth fixing.Leave the rechargeable batteries out untill you are ready to shoot.

  3. sounds like more of a battery prob

  4. There's most likely problem with the electrical circuit of the camera. Nothing much you can do but replace it, else, you might have to spend a lot to repair it (might cost more than a new camera - not knowing what kind of camera you have). You can get the same thing since you already have a new rechargeable battery kits for it, or if you can return and get something different, to a camera you might be interested in.
