  1. DirecTV is broadcast in digital format, so if it were a problem with the signal you'd get PIXELIZATION. That's when little blocks show up on the screen and mess up the picture.

What it sounds like to me is that there is a connection problem between the TV and the receiver itself (and any components you have in between). Check them all, make sure everything is plugged in tight and attatched securely. Even if you haven't been back there in ages and there are dust bunnies everywhere you should check them because these cables can and do come loose over time.

Also, check the channel that your TV is on. If you're using the coaxial cable to connect your TV (the round tip with the metal prong inside) then you're going to want to check channels 3 and 4. Oftentimes if you have it on the wrong channel (say 4 instead of 3) you'll get part of the picture but it'll be snowy and possibly won't give you any audio.

If neither of those help, try plugging something into the TV using the EXACT SAME CABLES as the receiver (a VCR or DVD player is the usual choice). If the picture is still fuzzy, you've narrowed the problem down to the cables or the TV itself.

If the picture was clear when you switched out the receiver, try the receiver at another TV to confirm. If it's fuzzy there as well then the receiver is having problems and will likely need to be replaced (or you could try using a different type of connections such as RCA instead of Coax)

If the picture was still fuzzy when you tried a different video player, try new cables between the TV and receiver. The ones you have may be going bad (they do that after a while). If the picture is still fuzzy, then the problem is with the TV.

If at any time you feel like you need more help or you determine that it's the receiver is causing the problem, call 1 800 531 5000 and a CSR would be glad to help you get your problems resolved =)

  2. "my tv is mess up it get fuzzy ..."

Does the picture start out clear and then slowly turn fuzzy while viewing?  If so, might be the TV not the service.  If not...

Check the connections on the TV/ VCR/ Receiver and make sure they are all connected tight.

Make sure TV AND VCR are on the correct channels (usually 3 or 4) or just turn the VCR or DVD off

  3. Try unplugging the receiver box from the wall for at least 5 minutes. If it still doesn't work after that, call direct tv.

    That's what they're there for,,,you'd think ;)

  4. It sounds more like your dish is misaligned or has something on it.  If you still have trouble.  Call Directtv for advice.
