do you get free pay per views if you don't connect your receiver to the phone jack?

a long time ago, when i first had directv, i ordered payperviews for free, because i didn't connected my receiver through the phone line, do you think i can still do it again with the new receivers.

If you do this one thing to watch out for is if it is a leased or owned. If it is leased and you return the receiver the card will be scanned and any ppvs that were ordered and not reported to the bill will be reported.

It will allow you to order some ppv up to a point but it if is over a month of not uploading it will put a block on it and not allow any more until that upload is done or if you reach the max amount allowed to order it will put that block until that upload is done.

Your card that comes with your receiver basically has a certain credit limit on it...might be around $50 - $100, once you use that up it won't allow you to purchase anymore until the system does it's upload to their system, once it has done the upload it will be on your monthly bill and it will bring your system card back to $0 balance. They may have some default now that won't let you buy PPV unless it finds a connection via phone line, but I'm not sure about that. All you can do is to give it a try.
