Disease on camelia????

My camelia which is only 3 feet tall has got light green white mossy stuff on trunk and branches and the leaves are small and it looks sick.What can I use to make it healthy again?

  1. I'm not sure if your plant has lichen growth on it, which grows in damp places with low pollution levels. Otherwise, in the southern US it could what is known as Spanish Moss, which is not a real moss, and does not damage the host plant.

    Otherwise, Camellias need acidic soils, and fertilizers that are acidic in order for your plant to be able to take in the nutrients.  Shop for an ericaceous fertilizer, and feed during the growing season.  

    Keep your plant moist, as it is surface rooting with fine roots and it should recover its strength.
