  1. biggest disgrace is mayweather. hes a **** and i cant stand him. i kinda like de la hoya but i want him to lose to forbes so his fight with mayweather will fall through, and i want mayweather to take cotto and lose. i think tyson biting holyfields ear is just hilarious that dudes a shithead hahaha

  2. I'm going to have to agree with maggs on this one. as for individual boxers. They don't represent the sport as a whole and only themselves. So really they only makes themselves look foolish.

  3. The biggest disgrace as far as I'm concerned is the boxing judges. Followed by the corrupt boxing commissions, with their bogus top ten contender list.

  4. The biggest disgrace to boxing has been Mike Tyson. Somewhere along the way during his career he got lost, reverted back to his days as a street thug, lost the respect of his fans and friends and is nothing more than an accident waiting to happen now and pretty much broke financially. What Hopkins said isn't a bad thing to say. While boxing in the Navy, I swore no Black man would ever beat me. And none did.

  5. They disgrace themselves, not boxing.  While Hopkins held the titles that he won, he carried himself like a champion.  Bernard has some controversy attached to himself, the Islam connection and the "Executioner" character was a bit overly dramatic, but nothing to seriously criticize.  Bernard's legal problems came prior to his boxing career, and his behavior was never as demented Tyson's.

Mike Tyson on the other hand was a basket case who humiliated himself almost weekly with his antics while he held the heavyweight title,.  In and out of the ring Mike's actions dishonored him so completely, even today people simply shake their heads in disgust.  As sad as it may seem, Tyson's legacy is one of criminal insanity and social maladjustment, not exactly what a champion would want to be historically remembered for, but other than a string of KO's over second and thrid teir club fighters, Mike never really proved himself against top notch competition.

I think clearly Tyson was the bigger disgrace, I still can respect Hopkins, but Tyson long ago left me with nothing but contempt and pity for his behavior.

  6. All are very disgraceful to the sport of boxing, but I would have to say that talking and not backing up their word is the number one most disgraceful thing, so i'll give it to bernard hopkins... than tyson for doing such a stupidass thing... and mayweather is definently up there for dodging all the fighter and getting it easy to where he is at now...

  7. This is like picking the worst blister on a kid with chicken pox.

I'd say in the last few years, the biggest disgrace to the sport would have to be Oscar BUYING the Ring Magazine, thus wearing the hat of fighter, promoter, and owner of coveted ratings.  Just when I thought, though, that this was the worst of it, I picked up the latest Ring Mag. . . .with HIM on the cover, HIS AUTOBIOGRAPHY being advertised on that back cover, and TECATE and CAZADORES being advertised on the inside covers!  Both the beer and tequila are long-time advertisers with Golden Boy Promotions.  What will he try next?
