Dish Network??

How does this work out...Are there any hidden charges not fully explained in the advertisements? I have 3 tv's and want something cheaper than cable. Which is best Dish Network, Direct TV or Cable and how does Dish Network work?

  1. There are a few things to be aware of.

    - Receiver fees. I think they charge $5/month for each receiver.

    - Recording fees: I highly recommend the PVR receivers, but to pay for the 2 week programming guide, they charge a 'PVR fee' to activate the recording feature.  It's less than the $9.90/month fee Tivo charges, but I found it to be annoying.

    I have been a happy Dish customer for years. I have Dish for standard def and cable for HD, and the software is much better on the Dish system.  A lot of people go with DirectTV because they use Tivo and people love the Tivo interface.


  2. I personally like Direct TV. I think they offer great service and more HD channels. I personally think the HD picture is quite good. I have never tried FIOS, but I heard that is very good as well.

    Don't go with Dish or cable. Check out FIOS or Direct TV.
