Ok heres the problem, Everytime I run my dishwasher everything comes out dirty as if it has never been clean, the cups still have lip imprints, the bowls still have god knows what on the bottom and so on. I have had several repair men out to look at it and they all insist that it is running just fine and are stumped when I show them the dirty kitchen utensiles. I really dont want to wash everything by hand because a new dishwasher is not in the budget. Help!

  1. I also deal with this time to time.Try some jet dry, also make sure your food trap is clean and that you are using hot water.I have a portable washer and if my daughter forgets to set the water to hot then more stuff stays on the dishes than what comes off. Good luck!

  2. I hate washing my dishes before I wash my dishes.  The only solution I have found that works for me, keep the waste trap clean, remember the Jet Dry, don't use extra soap (causes cloudy film), and add extra water to the dish washer before you run it.  It seems like they all have that water saver c**p installed.  Unfortunately, it still takes the same amount of water for a dishwasher to work.  I add a couple of gallons of hot water to the bottom of the dishwasher every time I run it.  It has made a difference.  Give it a try.

  3. brand? Model? age?  They ain't all alike.

I have seen worn pumps. I have GEs that have a valve under the filter in the rear that should close in the drain and when it doesn't it blows the dirt back.

I have seen whirlpool filters that are cracked and reduce the wash pressure and those are very hard to spot. I have seen spray arms the same way. Those are commonly missed by some techs.

I have seen the seals in the filter bad and that gives poor washing.  and on and on.

You don't give much to go on. And unless your water is real hot it likely won't remove lipstick. You would have to use the water heat. You also need to make sure the water is hot when you start. The type of soap makes a difference as does how hard is your water.

Despite what they say, you can't put dishes in covered with food.

I went to one house and had sympathy because she had one child clinging to each leg and a baby in her arms but her dishwasher had strands of spaghetti hanging out all the holes in the spray arms. It almost looked "hairy" lol.

    Good luck.

  4. do you rinse your dishes before you put them in. or another problem may be iron in your water

  5. Make sure your water it Hot, check for a kink in the drain line and listen for it to drain really good, Get a bottle of CLR or LIME AWAY(not the house hold Cleaner) and pour it in the dish washer and run through a full cycle, could be soap scum.food and hard water build up, make sure the water line doesn't kink while running either. I call it liquid tune up,
