Disney Cruise babysitters?

Do they have babysitters in the evening for children 4 years old and older? Even if for a fee? I see they have babysitters for up to 3 years old, but can't find anything for older kids.

  1. I believe what you were looking at was the actual babysitting services in Flounders Reef, for children up to three. This does cost per hour, but the actual kids clubs are included in your cruise cost. If your four year old is not potty-trained yet, you can request them to be allowed in Flounders Reef where they can take care of them, for the fee, but it does need to be booked. As far as I know, you cannot allow an older child in otherwise.

The Oceaner Club onboard the Disney Cruise ships is dedicated for children ages 3-7. They split most activities into ages 3 and 4 and then 5 and 7 to keep the kids with their own age group. They have tons of activities and most kids love it. It is also nice because Disney will give you a pager when you sign your child into the club. If for some reason they need you or one of the counselers need you, they can page you at any time. You can feel really safe and enjoy yourself while the little ones play and have a great time. If you are wanting to go to dinner, they will even feed the kids in the club so you don't have to worry about getting them a meal before or after.

There are also events where the family can join the children, I believe that is an hour each day. They also offer activities at Castaway Cay.

The kids clubs are really great, I wish I could go to them! Disney is rated very highly, especially for families, specifically because of these clubs, there is so much to do most kids could spend their whole vacation there. And Disney is really great at keeping them entertained, keeping the rooms cleaned, decorating for the different events, etc. Just be sure if you plan to use the clubs a lot, that you bring the child to the first day of activities. This when everyone introduces themselves and gets to know one another. Missing out on this can make it a little less fun once the child gets to go the first time.

The clubs are open until 12:30 at night, so that should give you plenty of time to do some of the many adult activities.

I hope this answers your question. I've inlcuded a link to the activites that are offered at the Oceaners Club

  2. They can go to the kid's club until really late at night. My 4 and 8 year olds LOVED it! Its not like babysitting at all- the younger ones (3-7) have this awsome play room with a slide, all sorts of dress-up clothes, etc... and the counselors do actual activities with them. You get a daily schedule in your room so you can even plan when your kids go to their "club", based on their preference for what activities are being held there. Characters even come to their club and dance with them. It was so much fun for my children that they cried when we tried to check them out of there! For the 8-12  year olds, they also do all sorts of supervised activities, as well as individual things like computers, legos, painting, etc... Enjoy your trip- we can't wait to go again!!!! Oh by the way- there is no fee for children over 3- its included in your ticket! How great is that??? And let me tell you something else- they are really careful about cleanliness and checking kids in and out. I can't tell you how impressed we were! Go on www.Disneycruise.com and you can look up more info about it!
