Disneyland: Family names in the ground?

When you stand in between the entrance of Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure and look at the ground, you will see hexagonal shaped tiles with names and a date, like the ones here:

But what I want to know is, exactly what are they for and how do you get one? And how much would it cost?

  3. I don't believe the "commemorative bricks" are currently being sold at Disneyland.

    However, you can contact Disney direct and find out:

  4. I remember when they were selling them. They had a table set out for people to buy them and yeah I think they were $100, too.  Call Disney or ask at the information booth but I'm pretty sure they only offer them at certain times of the year.
