Disposingof light bulbs?

What is the safest way of disposing low energy light bulbs so as not to disturb the mecury inside?

in the trash thing. ... dunno whats it colled lol...the thing that garbage men pick up and put in the truck...lol

best thing to do is contact your COUNTY council or take them to your nearest recycling centre for household waste/tip

Most councils do not recycle light bulbs, They will tell you just to put them in the bin.!!

these should be taken to your local recycling centre and treated as fluorescent tubes

I asked my council that one and they told me just to dispose of them in my normal bin!
