Why did diver Alexandre Despatie (Canada) always grab his butt cheeks right before he dove? Was it a good luck charm, or maybe a greeting to that special someone? :-P

Dr. Illegals, I think you mean Matthew Mitcham, the Australian diver who won the gold in the 10m platform competition, the only diving event where China didn't win a medal. Thomas Finchum was the American diver who was in the same competition.
