Dizziness from astigmatism?

i had been dizzy for about 2 months and a couple weeks ago i found out i had to get glasses from astigmatism and i dont have to wear them all the time only for school and stuff like that but not for sports or anything. so i get dizzy when i dont wear them but when i wear them im fine so my eye doctor said it was very common with astigmatism and there was no permanent fix is there anything i can do to help it???

  1. Well, there is no "cure" for it , if that is what you mean.

    All you can do is wear the glasses when you need them.

    Laser surgery correction may be an option for you in a few years.

  3. Why not try contacts? Then you won't feel dizzy at all through the day and no one will know you're wearing them. Also, you could wear the contacts while playing sports too!

    There is no permanent fix for astigmatism. People with the condition just have to wear their contacts and glasses as prescribed.

    But, there are special lenses that will shape your cornea, fixing the astigmatism over time. These are called ortho-k lenses, and they are quite expensive. You put these lenses in at night, and take them out in the morning, and during the day you won't need correction.
