  2. omgg. I HAVE THEM.

well the first 2 weeks u cant bite down on ANYTHING.

wen u "get them tightened" they just put in a new wire.

and wen u get a new bracket ((the little square things)) make sure you dont push on your tooth.

and all thaat c**p they tell you, u cant it.

after three weeks you CAN eat it. youll b fine.

    hope i helped. =]]

  3. your teeth will feel very tender for about a week or so after getting them, which is understandable because you have metal in your mouth. after the first week or so you won't really notice them, unless food gets stuck in them. your teeth may also feel very tender/sore after getting them tightened.

  4. My sister says they're only uncomfortable when they tighten them and her teeth are somewhat sore for a couple days, but nothing to major.

    Good Luck!

  5. Day 1- Take lots of advil - Pain free

Day 2- Scars in mouth, Pain

    Day 3- Pain

    Day 4- Less Pain

    Day 5- Pain free

They are not uncomfortable they just take getting used to

  6. I had braces for almost 3 years. I'm not going to lie they do hurt for the first to third day. Try to stick to eating things that you don't have to put pressure on your teeth to eat like soup or ice cream.

You get used to them and then you don't even feel them anymore. The only other time they hurt is when they tighten them but that only hurts for a couple hours after. Its all bearable, I promise. Oh yeah and if you think you need to take some advil just to take the edge off. good luck . and remember its going to be worth it when their off ! :)

  7. At first, you just absolutley hate them. First you get what are called spacers. They are these timy blue bands that they put between your molars to space your teeth out to prepare for the braces. You wear those for a few days and then you get the braces. Your mouth is already soar from having the spacers in and then when they put the braces on, it doesn't hurt but the fact that they are fussing so much in your mouth and not making the pain go away gets you really annoyed. I cried just because I knew I was going to have to deal with this pain for the next year and a half. Your mouth is soar for the first 3 or 4 days. On the second day you can barely chew anything. Then it goes away. Then when you go in every month afterwards, they will change your wires, causing the teeth to shift. This will casue them to hurt for the next couple of days and then your pain free for the rest of the month. It goes on like this the whole time. Soar for a couple days of the month and then fine. Your lips might get soar from the wires sometimes but you get used to it and eventually you don't even realize your wearing braces. It is really an amazing process to watch as you see your teeth getting straighter and straighter as the months progress. More towards that smile you have aways wanted. That is wahat keeps you going. That perfect smile! good luck!

  8. well yes they hurt... but u get use to them. and the pain fades

    they are TOTTALY WORTH IT!

  9. well...they don't hurt but the first couple of days after you get them on your mouth just feels a little sore so i recommend taking  an ibuprofen or advil before and after you get them on!! best of luck with your braces!!!

  10. well it doesn't hurt pretty much getting them on, it just takes pretty long.

and the first week or so they are pretty uncomfortable, but you live. and it is a little hard to eat, i just had a lot to drink and ate whatever i could.

make sure when you get them on you ask for the wax sutff.

you put in on your braces when its digging into the skin on the side of your mouth and it really help somtimes. they will explain how to use it.

    well good luck (:
