    As a Paratrooper, I knew,  if I was dropped in a hostile situation, I may be killed. I volunteered for this MOS and felt I would make it through anything. I think what you are talking about is, being forced to run into enemy fire, human wave attacks. Yes, this happens in some armies, around the world. I would have fought to the death for my platoon.


  2. Could you be more specific? Isn't cannon fodder just another name for enlisted soldiers in the front line back then?

  3. Have you used a dictionary to look up the term so you would understand what you are actually asking. The term is an old one as stated before means Ground pound-er, grunt, infantry, Troops the first one sent in during a battle.
