Question:

Do I Have Genital Herpes?

this is kind of a serious question.. so please be serious with your answers.

I'm 16 and have had only 2 s*x partners. the first time I had s*x was with someone else who was also a virgin, the second one was also a virgin too but he was uncircumcized. lately, there's been some sort of rash/small bumps along the inner labia, I don't know if that's suppose to be there because I've never actually "checked" down there before, don't really have symptoms of herpes.. but still, I'm not sure. the first time me and my current partner (uncut) did it was unprotected, could that have caused this "rash?" I'm planning to go to the clinic soon to get checked out, but any information would really help.

Thank you

  1. If both were virgins then it is not I doubt very much that you have them, but then again you can never be sure whether that was the whole truth or not. If you have none of the symptoms them I doubt there is any thing wrong. The best thing to do is just get it checked out at your local docter. He/she will tell you the best thing to do,

  2. if they were really virgins like you, they should not have had it in the first place either since this is a sexually transmitted disease only,

    Couple causes:

    1. hygiene

    2.lack of lubrication

    3.changes in your body (intimates)

    4.pubic hair irritation

but chek with your dr, asap

  3. The only way it could be herpes is if one of these partners had herpes.  If you are SURE that they were both virgins, it's highly unlikely that you have herpes.  But you can't really trust people when they say they are virgins.  And quit having unprotected s*x at 16!!!  You should be worried more about AIDS.  Trust me, years from now you will look back and realize you should not trust the fact that someone is a virgin...That doesn't make unprotected s*x OK!

  4. Does it hurt?  One of the clearest signs of genital herpes (at least the first outbreak) is excruciating burning pain.  Also, you probably think the fact your boyfriend is uncut is important, but it has nothing to do with this.

  5. Just a correction on the statement that if they are virgins they could not have Herpes, mentioned by others.  One can contract Herpes at birth if the mother has active genital herpes.  Most of the time blood work will be drawn and herpes will be detected and a C-section done to prevent contact will the vaginal area by the baby.  Simple contact from the mother to the baby (baby's eye or other parts) can result in the spread of herpes to a VIRGIN baby.  Be smart and get checked for all STDs, and yeah AIDS is what you need to worry about.

  6. The only way to know for sure is to be checked by a Dr.  You can get herpes even if you are a virgin through oral s*x.  HSV1 Cold sores can be transferred to the genitals.  Approximately 80% of the population has HSV1.  Get tested...
