Do I have a good wife?

Hi, What I would like is a consensus of how my wife compares to other wives out there. So I decided to post this question here in cyberspace.

That said here it goes. Here is some back round. I have been married to my wife (Madeline) for twenty years as of last July 2nd. Neither of us is previously married. We have two children. They are Ryan, age 15 and Kelly age 14. Both children get straight A's and are pretty well behaved. I am 46 years old, will be 47 Sept 1st. Madeline is four years older than me. Okay, here is the gist of my wife. She exercises doing pilates Monday through Friday. She holds down a full time job. She is a great cook preparing meals every night and cleans our house every week. On the weekends she prepares breakfast for our family. She does this on Saturdays and Sundays. Today, the 9th of August, 2008. She made eggs bendict. The kids and I help out with the house chores so that helps a lot.

So what do you all think?

So why would you need confirmation from total strangers that you have married a good woman? Where is the problem? What, if anything, is missing in this idyllic scenario?  Are you feeling guilty about something and you want to be reminded of how lucky you are?  

Your question is puzzling...actually, a part of this puzzle is missing.

Try to enjoy what you have at your fingertips.  Don't search for the impossible.

You are one lucky man to have such a great wife.  Are you kidding?  She seems to be a loving woman and if you've been married for 20 years, then you both are doing something right.  You're a great example of love and marriage for both of your kids and you're obviously both doing something right.

Good for you both.  Congratulations on your anniversary.  I hope my husband and I remain married for just as long, if not, longer.

I have been married 25 years and have 2 wonderful sons-1 is going to grad school next fall, 1 is getting his undergraduate degree. My husband and I live alone and I cook every night, have a full time job, Cook breakfast on the weekends or sometimes we go out for breakfast.I do all the cleaning and the laundry and we have 2 cats, 2 dogs that we both take care of. I ride a scooter to work every day to save money! Your wife sounds normal to me, how do you feel about her?

I think you have no fun in your marriage so you are writing this because your life is to perfect. This is what you do plan a get away trip for 2 and spend a nice fun romantic day with just you and her. Or just be spontaneous. Have spontaneous s*x =] spice up everything! Because you have a great wife but you want to have fun again and be a kid. Well spice things up. Your wife will love it too. Go rock climbing do something out doors. and then after wards have nice wild crazy s*x! Thats what me and my boyfriend do when we feel like we are just doing the same old hting we spice it up by having fun wild and crazy s*x. =] and it gets his braining working over time because he likes to wonder when will it happen again. haha and he likes to try to make it happen again but i like to make him wait!

It is not necessarily the things she DOES that makes a great wife, but how she makes you FEEL.  And just based on your question it does not seem like you feel too much.  Does she make you smile, make you happy?  Does she make you feel loved?  These are the things that would make her great.

only you can decide if your wife is a good one, if you are happy with her then yes, she's a good wife. but from what you describe she sounds like a great wife and mother
