  1. No unless something is stuck on it to make it run all the time.....


  2. Old refrigerators, air conditioners, washers, dryers are much less efficient than the new ones. Other appliances don't use that

    much electricity to begin with.

  3. YES!! old appliances use WAY more electricity then new appliances these days, esspecially the energy efficiant ones. We used to have a 14 year old freezer and decided to turn it off to see how much electricity we would save, turns out there were some segnificant savings. It was an energy gusler. Replace it, saves you money. Old technology = more energy,

    New technology = less energy.
