  1. I think a lot of them do now. But I have a bottle of perfume that was my grandmother's from the time I was a small child, that I still use on special occasions & it still smells wonderful.

  2. perfumes DEF have expiration dates!!!!  it may not be exactly what they put on the bottle....

but they will def start to lighten up their scents in about 3 years or so.... or the oils they use in the perfumes can start to age and totally change the scent all together.

  3. Technically, no.  At least, not in the way that food does.

Perfume doesn't actually "spoil", but once it's been opened and exposed to air, the quality of the perfume begins to deteriorate, and the fragrance can change ... sometimes dramatically!

It's usually advised to use perfume within one year.  After that (depending on conditions), you may start to notice a difference.

If you keep perfume in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, it will last longer.  Storing it in the bathroom, as many people do, is probably the WORST place for it ... it's best to keep it in a closed dresser drawer, or in a closet that stays cool and dry.

  4. No, they don't. they should just not be exposed to open air, because this takes away its aroma. Why, some perfumes can last more that 100 years if they are well taken care of!
