  1. yes it is, its all p****y.....do i use it h**l yea, but its def. illegal, its steal, when u play a game a best buy u play the demo, and if u like it u buy it, u TEST drive a car if u like it.....again its illegal

  2. LimeWire itself isn't illegal, but if you use it to download copyrighted files for free (this includes music, pictures, videos and even documents) that you are effectivley stealing form the owners and THAT is illegal.

This is regardless of whatever country you're in, the law is the same all over. If you share things whihc have a licence on LimeWire than that is fine, as the owner has given you permission to download the file. Otherwise you are doing something illegal.

    Hope that clears things up.

  3. Well personally, if you look at it from a moral standpoint, it is illegal, because so many people use it for downloading music for free without the consent of the respective artists, but some people and businesses do use LimeWire for purposes of transfering files or searching for documents that may help them in some way. So, if you look at it from that standpoint, LimeWire can also be a good thing. Chances are, legal or not legal, LimeWire will be around for a long time.

  4. No, Limewire isn't illegal.  The vast majority of activity done on Limewire is however.  The reason why Limewire is legal is simply the same reason a Xerox copier is legal.  Both of them can be used perfectly legally, however they can both be used illegally.  It's simply a matter of the usage of it and not the technology itself.

  5. Limewire itself I mean the software itself isn't, but to download videos, photos, programs and music are illegal.

  6. nah

  7. If you use it for downloading copyrighted works, then yes.  If not, no.

  8. Limewire the program itself is not, the stuff you download is potentially illegal, I live in canada and p2p is not illegal if you aren't making money, but in america it is(I'm not sure about any other countries).
