family members pull for the same driver as you, or are you a house divided?

I am a team 48 fan. My hubby doesn't watch NASCAR. I have tried and tried to get him involved. I don't think he can sit still long enough to be honest with you, lol. I guess that's why I am on here with you good people all the time. Need to talk NASCAR with some friends.

My brother likes Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart. Since I don't care much for Kyle, and didn't used to care much for Tony, though I have this year, you can imagine all the good natured ribbing we would give eachother. It is all in fun.

My dad was a Dale Sr. fan, and now roots for "his boy" as my dad puts it. But I know my dad likes some other drivers as well.

And my mom's boyfriend hates NASCAR, and makes fun of both of us for watching it. Seriously, if I were in my mom's situation, I would have lost him a LONG time ago.

My husband and I root for Junior.  My son likes Kevin Harvick,  my grandson likes Biffle.  My daughter could care less about the races, she just stays in her room.

throughout my life, i've been in houses divided.  my dad liked golf and naps, and we liked to play outdoors.  my mom just liked some peace and quiet. but we were brought up in watching nhra more than any other motorsport.  i can't remember who pulled for whom, but it always ended up being "big daddy" don garlits vs. don "the snake" prudhomme.  

my sister and brother can't stand nascar.  my brother's "hobby" is being an nhra vintage dragster driver. i don't know who he likes - but i do know he's in love with the new strip going in at lowe's. he's a truck driver for advance auto and lives in belmont.  

my ex was a junior fan, and i am a busch brothers fan. and no, there was no shovel or lime involved in the end of that relationship (though there probably should have been ;-)  i think we both ended up agreeing to be fans of anybody but each other ;-)

my mom is one of john force's biggest fans and until two years ago was not a nascar fan. but for the past two years, she and i have watched nascar together (the one way she could be sure to spend time with me ;-), and in that time i've led her over to the dark side... i don't know what level of h**l bringing your mom to the dark side lands you in, but we have a lot of fun...

Pretty much whol immediate family are Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, and last but not least, Kyle Busch fans. No one in my family has ever been a big fan of Earnhardt Jr's. Rare to have everyone on the same page isn't it lol? I remember in the early 90s though I liked Rusty Wallace mostly just because my dad didn't and called him a crybaby, so I loved it when he was out front and my dads driver wasn't.

I grew up a few miles from Pocono. Father adored Pearson and Petty and him and myself were the only ones that loved it but he's in the superspeedway in the sky and for the most part no one else in my family follows it.

Hence the soap on a rope for XMAS and no NASCAR gifts....lol

Yes we do, although she pulls for Tony a bit more because she says something about him being hot or some BS like that. LOL! We actually met on a Nascar chat line because she like my id name Lite2. She was a Rusty fan as well as I, we talked for about a year online and on the phone then I flew to Chicago 6Mo's after that, met her, married her a dragged her here back to Texas and we have been married 5 years this October! :))) It pays to be a Nascar fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My son is a Junior fan(dont hold that against me) LOL, my daughter is a Newman fan. Have a great weekend everyone!! God Bless our Troops and to every Veteran that has ever served and serving. Nope, I'm a Jr fan, my wife's a Smoke fan, and the oldest one's a Gordon fan(my girls don't have a favorite they just like going to races). Doesn't cause that much of a problem since Smoke's high up on my list of favorite drivers as well. As a matter of fact it was my idea to name one of the cats Smoke. And yes I do have a 20 sticker on my car next to my 88 one.

I'm an Elliott Sadler fan and my brother's a Tony Stewart fan and our competitive shows when we pull for our driver. My brother wasn't home for the Darlington race but you can only imagine what it would have been like.

Nah, I'm really the only devoted NASCAR fan in the house. My husband enjoys watching the race with me and my daughter has that inexplicable early teen thing for Kasey Kahne, but overall they don't care that much. I'm sure my husband doesn't care for the Elliott Sadler wallpaper, but he doesn't complain <LOL.>

My husband prefers the NHRA, but in NASCAR, he pulls for whoever is the underdog.  I like all of the drivers, until they do something to tick me off.  lol

Growing up, all of my brothers and my sister were Earnhardt, Sr. fans.  But I love them, anyway.  lol

I was a die hard Fred Lorenzen fan, my dad was a Richard Petty fan..Then later on my dad and I were Earnhardt fans, but my mom always was a Awesome Bill fan... Now if you want to talk my little group of friends that get together to watch races, OMG talk about a divided bunch.. Dale Jr, Shrub, Jeff B, Jimmie J, Jeff G, Labonte, Happy, Kurt B,Smoke,Edwards, Rocketman, and Juan Pablo, Biffle, Sorenson, Hamlin, yeah it gets rowdy...

Definitely divided.  We all know I'm a die hard Jr. fan.  My hubby...major Jeff Gordon fan.  It was way divided before Jr. went to HMS.  But, neither of us is a "team" fan, rather we are "driver" fans.  We do both agree on Tony Stewart as our 2nd fave. My son just watches the races, and has a few drivers he does not like.
