do birds see like we do or do they see in black and white? and can they see at night or not?

  1. I think their vision is a little more different than ours. I know that owls in particular have nocturnal vision, that means they can see at night.

Birds have excellent color vision...if not...there would be no need for birds to be so colorful.  As you know, males are usually much more colorful than females, they have such brilliant colors as to attract mates.  No, most birds (besides nocturnal species) cannot see well at night.  If they are disturbed from their nest after dark, they often cannot find their way back to their nests resulting in the eggs dying.

  3. No birds can not see well at night time at all this is why they flutter in night frights most of the time. I personally leave on a night light for my birds and 99% of the time never have any night frights.  

  4. yes. Birds have highly developed vision and can perceive colours.

    Humans have three colour pigments and birds have five, giving them a better ability to differentiate between different shades of colour. (This also explains why night vision appears much more monochromatic than does day vision.)

  5. No birds cant see at night if they try to fly they will crash into something I know from experience they cannot see in the dark
