  1. I just got back from a cruise (Carnival from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas). I made some cell calls back to the U.S. using Verizon, and the roaming charges were $2.50/min. By the way, the satellite phone service from the stateroom was $7/min, so using the cell was a bargain in comparison. Also, internet access was something like $1/min.

  2. Yes cell phones do work on Cruise ships.  I was just on a cruise and I have Verizon.  The only thing is it is WICKED EXPENSIVE to use your cell phone on a cruise ship, because of roaming charges.  Cell phones usually don't work while your in port, but when you are at sea they work.

  3. Yes the only time they will work is when  you are close to a port .The cost   will be about $1.00 a min..Some times you have to dial a special number to get a call out.The cruise line will let you know the number

  4. yes but u may run into high roming charges as well as international

  5. yes but there will most likely be a charge(depends on cruise line)

  6. Depending on what service u have, also they can set it up for extra fee, have fun on ur curise!

  7. Ceck with your cell phone company and with the cruise line....most likely not......they do have wifi on a lot of the ships.......
