They have a brain, but they don't have the ability to reason or logic.  They only have the ability to react.  This is why the movie Jaws was crazy.  They don't have the ability to act out of revenge.  Maybe humans would be better off if we just had the ability to react and not really think.

Of course. It would die otherwise. Their brains are small in comparison to ours, but not small in comparison to their bodies. So I disagree with the people who said their brains are small :)

I have to say that fishes do have brains and they do have the ability to logic. If they can taste fish food and spit it out because it doesn't taste good for them, that is all part of logic. So in actuality, fishes do have brains and they can be quite intellectual.

There is no need for fishes to reason with any other fish out there, they react when their territory is being violated, with their reaction, they usually defend their territories.

We all know that whales and dolphins are mammals. However, people use the term fish for these mammals sometimes. Depending on the individual. So for individuals whom call these mammals fishes, these mammals have brains, and they're highly intellectual. Killer whales and dolphins are very smart, they know and sense danger, they know how to capture prey.

As for fishes, in time, fishes learned that with our presence in the waters, they learned that they are food for us, and when we try to capture it, it tends to run away and hide. So if fishes don't have the intelligence, then how come they run away from us? How come Marlins shake and jump when they get hooked? Why then does Marlins jump into the boat stabbing people with their bills? Why does Marlins attack sharks when sharks get too close?

Fish do have intelligence, it depends on the circumstance.

fish do not have a 4 second ******* memory jeez, if that was the case when u open the lid to feed it they wouldn't all swim to the top and associate the lid opening as feeding time, and when i go fishing how come i once caught the same mirror carp like 5 times ? i'll tell you why cuz its coming back for FOOD, Another reason when fish like salmon migrate for thousands of miles back to their spawning location to lay eggs is memory I'm sure it takes longer than 4 seconds to reach the location?

I am a fisher man and I know that  predatory fish will eventually learn that your lure is bad news and don't grab it anymore .So there must be a brain albeit a small one
