My roommate freezes her cigarettes and yesterday while we were smoking a frozen one it seemed as if it burnt out extremely fast. Does freezing your cigarettes make them burn twice as fast and if so why?

  1. Hmm, interesting

  2. No it burnt out fast because moisture condensed onto the cold f*g and put it out.

  3. No we freeze them to help keep them fresh.  The cigarette probably burnt faster because the it wasn't packed very tight.  That is why most smokers hit the pack against the palm of there hand.  It helps to pack the tobacco tighter and helps the burn longer.  really I don't notice much of a difference.  except I tend to knock my cherry off when I ash more often if I didn't pack the cigarette first.  when packing them make sure that you are holding the pack so the butt of the cigarette is hitting the palm of your hand.

  4. this is the first time i hear this lol im going to try it and see if it burns faster....

  5. If the freezing causes some of the moisture to escape ("freezer burn") then it would be logical for them to burn faster.

  6. Only if you store methanol in your mouth until lit.
