Do grades matter that much?

This has been bugging me since day one. Day one being my life at school.

Do grades dictate intelligence?

Let me tell you my situation.

I am a 14 year old Turkish boy, I have the iq of 185, and have scientific knowledge that exceeds most, if not EVERY person in my school, and a very extensive ability in mathematics.

I taught myself calculus and physics in 7th grade(1). I can figure out logic puzzles and problems faster than any other person I currently know of. I am currently in the design stages for a fusion generator (2).

I am, to be truthful, pretty creative and innovative, and very good at using any item I have at hand for about any situation (What is that called? Handy?)

Finally to top it all off, remember the time where I said I can solve puzzles quickly?

Well my brain works alot faster than most people, it makes me angry because for every idea someone has I have four and that makes me double guess myself sometimes on math tests.

  1. You sound like a very intelligent person , who needs to get a hold on reality .. IQ isn't everything I'm 175 ... But marks in school aren't everything either.  What matters is what you do with the intelligence, how you treat people and what you do with your life .

And don't ever throw your IQ in other people's faces .. You won't make any friends that way ... and people will just think you're full of yourself .. and they'll be correct.
