Do horses get jet lag ?

I'm watching coverage of todays Preakness and they were talking about how they fly in horses from California for the race and fly them back after . Just curious if flying takes them off there game :)). Thanks

  1. my source is from an olympic horse trainer.  She says that horses do get jet lag.  She said the horses seem 2 be grouchy and literally "out of it" for a few days after a flight.


  2. Only if they  wernt able to move their seats all the way back and recline.

  3. In my source list is an article about whether or not horses can suffer from jet lag.  Basically it says horses are better equipped than humans to handle jet lag.

    Horses are individuals, like humans, so some probably ship better than others.
