  1. The employment of children is covered by the Children & Young Persons Act 1933.  Basically, no employer is allowed to employ a child under the age of 13 at all (this is the minimum age for paper rounds etc.), and for all children under the age of 16 and in school, the employer is supposed to make an application to the local council for a work permit once you start work.  He does that, you don't - that's assuming he stays within the law and doesn't try exploiting or cheating you.  There are a whole load of other regulations which cover what types of work you are or aren't allowed to do, as well as what hours you can do during school term times, as well as during the school holidays.  If you are not sure what you should or shouldn't be doing, I'd suggest speaking to a careers advisor at school.  They still have them these days, don't they?

  2. If you are in the UK and a British citizen then the government will send you your NI card when you are able to work. If you are outside UK then you cant work in the UK until older.

  3. Not to work in Britain or Ireland and/or most countries within the EU. However what you would need are a few qualifications, maybe work experience and you know ... You're 15 years old. What would you like to do? What kind of job/Career appeals to you? Could you not speak to a career adviser and find out what qualifications are required to train so you can look forward to applying jobs, not simply  because you need to work , but also take on a job you know you will enjoy

  4. Your confused?

    What about us?

You don't tell us exactly where you want to work.

Russia? America? Timbuckthree? Or are you thinking more of doing a paper round from that little shop at the bottom of your road?

  5. Not to work in Britain no.

  6. NOT if you stay in the UK- as soon as you turn 16 you will get a National Insurance Number, this will enable you to pay tax in every job you have in the UK.  You will only need a work permit if you start working outside the UK.

  7. no, ahh bless
