  1. Yes, it's a good idea!

    You can get them from your chipset manufacturer. I.E. Intel, AMD, nVidia


  2. How should we know what you need? We don't know who you are or what you're doing.

    If you don't have any computers, you don't need smbus. If you're developing software that talks over smbus, you need it badly.
