Do mice eat marshmallows?

Question

We have a nice house, but there are mice in our cellar. We have a cage and we use a piece of apple as a bait, but we dont catch much mice. So i wonder if i can use barbacue marshmallows as a bait, since we have lots of marshmallows.

you wouldn't need to barbecue them. leave them whole and apply the bait inside and around the marshmellow to give the bait a similar smell. warming them up'll only make more of a mess of things. especially if the mouse brings the tainted marshmellow back to it's family.

Mice eat pretty much anything.  Cheese is better though.

I agree with a previous poster, mice eat anything!  I've had them eat through the mini toothpaste tubes(metal, mind you), hotel soaps left in drawers and anything in between.  I hand raised a baby mouse last year who's mother had been killed in a trap...doesn't make sense I KNOW this! lol  Once the youngster was big enough he loved everything.  

We've found that peanut butter is great and they absolutely love it, especially (and sadly) on traps.  I had left a half a jar on the floor for my dog because I could not find her toy that you put food into to keep her occupied while I was out and figured it would be similar to the toy as she'd struggle with getting her nose into the jar of peanut butter.  We came home to find a mouse next to the jar that had eaten so much it couldn't move.  It seemed to be drugged or dazed (or just too fat to move after eating so much) and just sat there!  I kid you not.  I picked up the mouse and took him outside and released him. lol  It was the funniest thing I'd ever witnessed, honestly.  Try peanut butter.

Actually what mice will eat is hard to say!

We use pieces of cheese,pieces of fried bacon..

It seems to work like magic!
