Do named drivers get affected financially?

Question

I have had my insurance for over a year and although I had a bump no one claimed and it was all sorted. However, as it was company and they had already told their insurers I had to give my details. My insurance was not affected at all and actually went down.

My question is, I have 3 named drivers on my insurance, one of whom is now claiming his insurance rose because of this 'bump' I had.

Mine went down, as did the other two named drivers so I dont think its possible.

Would it even affect his insurance if someone did claim?

Wouldn't have thought so. My dad has me as a named driver , he had a bump, my insurance went down, but i did shop around. The thing is when i asked for a quote i told them truthfully i had not had a claim for 10 years.

I wouldn't have thought so either...

He may have divulged a 'bump' he had had which he had not previously put down, knowing you had just had one... I'm not saying he's lying but there has to be some reason why his went up.

YOU SAY NO ONE CLAIMED BUT YOU HAD TO GIVE DETAILS

1) DID YOU INFORM YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY IN WRITING THAT THE MATTER HAD BEEN SORTED.

2) HAVE YOU CONFIRMED WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY THAT THEY HAVEN'T CLAIMED.

3) IF THEY DID NOT CLAIM THEN YOU WOULDN'T LOOSE YOUR NCB

4) AS THE POLICY HOLDER YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK THE INSURANCE FOR DETAILS OF WHY HIS HAS GONE UP?

THE ONLY WAY IS IF THEY HAVE CLAIMED AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY  HAVE ACTIONED IT UNDER THE WRONG NAME (FAVOURITE WITH INFORMATION GIVEN ESPECIALLY IF YOU GAVE DETAILS? IF THEY DIDN'T CLAIM THEY DON'T NEED THAT INFORMATION
