Do owls eat chickens?

because my aunt has a farm and chickens are missing and also i here all night long owls going hooo hoo.

They can, but they tend to be night hunters and your aunt's chickens should be ok if they're in a coop. More of a concern is hawks: once they find chickens, they'll keep returning as long as the hunting is good.

Get your aunt some bantam roosters (also known as fighting c***s) - they'll take car of any predators.

maybe it's wolves or something. cause im pretty sure an owl couldnt eat a chicken. all it has is a small beak! i think owls eat mice and other small things.

Owls, Opposums, Dogs, feral cats, eagles, chupacabra( that was a joke), foxes and coyotes. All these can kill a chicken.

Before my husband died, we had chickens and livestock. Yes, owls will eat them.

Yes..if these chickens are not in a wildlife proof pen, just able anything can get them...owls, cats, dogs, coyotes, foxes, racoons, etc.

Given a chance, yes. Owls are predators after all, and if they see a bird or animal they can catch, they will consider it as food!! That's why they have chicken coops and indoor roosts where the chickens can be protected in the night time.
