haha yeah doctors and drug dealers.

But yeah, the only people who use pagers is more for a business then anything. So instead of calling someone a page is all thats needed.

But pretty much everyone has cell phones, so pagers are really obsolete

I do believe that Doctors and IT's still use them, was in a office the other days and the assisting nurse had one also.

Yes, they are more reliable than cell phones. Pagers do not have dead zones. Many medical personnel carry them while on call.

Yup still do. If a person has to be absolutely reachable at all times then nothing beats a pager. Pagers operate on lower radio frequencies that penetrate structures better. Also pagers aren't as vulnerable to electronic interference. They also don't interfere with other electronics as much as cell phones. That's why doctors use pagers in hospitals. If you're in a building where your cell phone signal turns to c**p, you'll still get your pages.

Yes especially people who support IT applications. Many times these pagers are linked to an application where users login and raise tickets. As soon as they raise tickets a page is sent to the support guys.
