Like the first guy said. But they don't have it, they carry it and pass it to mammals like us so you shoud always wash your hands after touching a reptile.

all reptiles carry salmonella which is why it is important to always wash your hands after handling them, and yes tortoises do carry salmonella but if you follow basic hygiene it will never be a problem
