  1. Yes, once one of my cats refused to come in 1 evening so I had to leave her out overnight, I didnt sleep a wink, thinking is she ok, are the foxes going 2 attack her, will she get stolen etc I was so relieved 2 hear her scraping at the window next morning

  2. Are you kidding Of course i have My so called pets arent my pets but my babies They are my children and my family I would go nuts if anything bad happened to them and i didnt do everything in my power to make it right You did the right thing That shows you have a heart and are capable of loving Which is sad more people arent like you When one of my babies got out I was looking for them all day (literally) I was out there for hrs and i eventually found them wandering the middle of a main street panicking They almost got hit Then i almost got hit running into the middle of the street to get him Dont ever think twice about doing everything possible to help your baby They need as much help as possible since they dont have their own voice to speak up Thats what youre there for Good job

  3. Everyone cats are all OUTSIDE cats stop keeping them indoors they arent dumb There predators built to last the elements and climb trees and **** look just dont worry ok the cat willl come back to you.

  4. I keep my girl inside all the time. I just can't take the stress of worrying if she is being knocked down by cars or getting into fights with bigger, cleverer cats and dogs. She has never been allowed out since we got her and she doesn't seem to show much interest since we have made her a garden with logs and tree stumps and plants to keep herself busy with when she is alone. We play with her a lot during the day and she tends to be worn out by the time we all go to bed.

  5. Oh yes, I used to panic the whole time. I hate it when they go off for more than a few hours. Sadly both of my cats were run over and they only 2 years old. I've now got two more kittens but they can only go out supervised. The road isn't even anywhere near our house so it doesn't matter what you do, they'll go where they like.

  6. Yes..I always do this...I adore them and if I didn't find my cat within 5 minutes.. I go Bonkers and wacky :)) Till I find him or her... It always appears when I start calling with no response..then my voice starts to get edgy till it appears  it feels like I am looking for my kids LOL, It is preferable to keep ur cat indoors

  7. Nope. My cat sleeps all day and I put him out at night.

If I didn't he would keep us awake all night wanting to play.

  8. Yes I have done this many many times. My cats are allowed out when they want but have to be in the house before I go out or go to bed. By far they follow the rules but there is the occassional time they don't come when called right away which bugs me. Maybe on a cat date? (fixed)

It's funny what worked to get them to come when called most of the time. I tried not letting them out when they wanted which didn't work but then I did not let them back in the house when they came and wanted in and that ended up working. 199 out of 200 times they come when they are called. Best of luck

  9. sure, everyone worries about their loved ones and its scary if you dont know where your cats are at night

  10. if they are little but not if they are grown because they now how to get home

  11. It's normal for her to do that. At her age there is so much to explore outside so she'll want to be out for hours on end. Cats are inquisitive creatures and will want to explore.

From the first time she was let outside my cat has often stayed out all night and no harm has ever come to her. Cats are nocturnal animals by nature so they're more active at night which is why your cat didn't come in. Hope this helps:-)

  12. yes1st time but u get over it cats have patterns when they go out ur just prefer nites

  13. no cuz my cat is an indoor cat i don't let her outside cuz she might run away....... like your cat but i hope you'll fine your cat soon :)

  14. yeah i've done that :( like in the middle of the night when i realized they werent there then i start freaking out and wonderign if i really saw them ealier that day... lol used to happen a lot when it was rainning tooo... i now keep my kitty indoors :)

  15. wait till its yr kids that stay out all night

  16. My cat doesn't really leave the street so no x

  17. I've done this more times than I can count.  We have an indoor/outdoor cat.  He was a stray in our neighborhood before we got him, and he is miserable if we try to keep him inside all the time, but I worry about him when he's out.  Not long ago, he didn't show up for dinner.  We called him for hours before finally going to bed.  I got up at 2:00, went outside and called him, listening carefully to hear if he might be stuck somewhere and meowing.  And he came trotting over from the neighbor's yard.  He was perfectly fine, and I was so relieved!!

  18. nope they stay inside where i know they are safe and can't get hit by cars, drown in a neighbors pool, eat a rabid animal, or be poisoned by dumb kids... if you can switch the cat over to indoor it'll be a lot better for the cat and your peace of mind!  :)

  19. to be honest one got trapped between the storm and back door once and i didn't notice until the next day.

i don't mind telling you it scared the bees wax out of me when i saw her.

  20. hi,

I have 4 cats and if any of them are out over night my partner has a restless nights sleep (if he sleeps at all)

I usually don't come in until they are all in, and i worry and it will keep me up late (but to be honest i then fall asleep and sleep like a log)

Its normal to worry about your cats. But as i reassure myself.. Cats are not idiots they usually have a place allocated to sleep if they can't get back in the house. And just remember a lot of cats are nocturnal so it could even be considered normal for them to be out on a night. (however domesticated cats can sometimes fall into human routines)

if it becomes your cats habit to do this it might be an idea to get a cat flap so that you know it can get in. (get the smallest one possible though to stop thieves).

    Hope this helps.

  21. Yes one year my Christmas was ruined because someone let off fireworks at 6pm Xmas day and my Lily disappeared, I spent hours looking for her. Now I have the garden catproofed with net so I always know where they are. The world is dangerous for cats these days, please get them both in at night at least.

  22. YOU should keep your pets on your own property and no ive never stayed up worrying about a cat but my neighbor has they have had 6 of there cats gone missing

guess they should have kept them out of my yard
