  2. Generally speaking, no.  The Gray Wolf (which includes many different breeds) are for the most part not "built" for the kind of climate you find in Florida.  Most breeds have adapted more towards the cooler climates.

    Of the breeds that live or lived in the warmer climates, most are endangered or already extinct, partially due to climate change but also due to population of humans encroaching on their habitats and forcing them out, or due to hunting.

    There are still some that live in the Southwestern US, but most have been forced out, killed, etc.

    The southeast is one of the least likely places in North America to find wild wolves, coyotes, etc.

  3. Yes.  There is an experimental population of red wolves on St. Vincent Island in the Florida panhandle.  You may find the following link interesting.  Red wolves seem to be the "forgotten" wolf.  It once lived throughout the American southeast.
